Job description:
The main purpose of this role is engaging and building strong relationships with key external medical experts; gathering insights and facilitate knowledge exchange; knowledge translation and data generation in the forthcoming years.

Implement and participation in Scientific Advisory Board meetings to ensure knowledge transfer and foster KOL relationships and sharing scientific understanding; Disseminating knowledge and sharing information (within compliance guidelines) including through our presentations; Facilitating consideration of proposals for collaborative and investigator initiated studies and speaker development and involvement; participating in Scientific and Medical symposia and assisting with the development of the company's sponsored programs.

The role will develop collaborative and respectful relationships with internal stakeholders; credible and durable relationships with health care professionals (KOL) and other relevant external stakeholders.

Liaison with Medical and Scientific Community and facilitate knowledge exchange 75%
Facilitate communication between HCPs and healthcare decision makers and internal brand team colleagues and provide customer insights that contribute to the development of medical strategies as appropriate; Provide a high-quality point of contact for scientific exchange between external experts/HCPs and the company.
  • Interact responsibly and within compliance guidelines with targeted HCP, associations and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist with requests for scientific and medical information in a comprehensive, timely and customer-focused manner.
  • Implement and participate in Scientific Advisory Board meetings to ensure knowledge transfer, foster KOL relationships, ensure scientific understanding, and build appropriate advocacy.
  • Actively participate in Scientific and Medical symposia, assist to sponsored programs and brief speakers.
  • Ensure appropriate KOL development through participation in clinical trials.
  • Facilitate consideration of proposals for collaborative and investigator-initiated studies.
  • Assist with submission for and preparation of publications and presentations of study data at local/ international medical and scientific meetings.
  • Ensure engagement plans are initiated and actively managed for identified external experts.
  • Facilitate speaker development and involvement, ensure customer communications are tracked in appropriate systems

Therapy area expertise 15%
Provide internal therapeutic and product expertise for regional and other Medical Affairs and/or clinical development needs. (e.g. formulary presentations, field force training, organized customer projects/collaborations, scientific congress participation, etc.). Develop and maintain in-depth expertise for designated therapeutic area and competitive landscape.

Develop good knowledge of the compliance guidelines, share information through internal and external presentations.

Develop and/or review medical materials, including presentations and medically approved responses to ensure appropriate responses to enquiries. Proactively deliver company objectives and values.

Facilitate knowledge translation 10%
Deliver presentations to payers, managed care organizations, formulary decision makers, professional society and government organization decision makers, and local/ regional medical advisory boards in accordance with the designated medical strategy.


Main missions
  • The MSL will primarily be responsible for providing approved medical content on the company's products/vaccines to HCPs who have local, regional, or national roles in health care provision and/or decision-making as determined.
  • Keep abreast of medical and scientific developments in relevant therapy area by continuously reviewing literature in the field, monitoring competitor activities, networking with experts and attending assigned conferences.
  • Keeps abreast of current and evolving healthcare policies, the potential impact on key customer segments, health economics/outcomes research, and comparative effectiveness research.
  • Contribute to the medical planning for projects and activities, develop and implement the medical plan for the products.
  • Maintain effective and appropriate communication and collaboration among internal medical colleagues, Medical Information and other brand team colleagues.
  • Serve on medical and/or disease area and asset cross-functional committees, as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal/external SOPs/Rules/Regulations
  • Serve as a conduit and resource for customer insights pertaining to disease areas and products.
  • Serve as conduit and medical resource to investigators and researchers, as appropriate.

Profil recherché

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both in French and English

Minimum Education Requirements:
Advanced Scientific Degree (PharmD, Ph.D., M.D., DO) with 5 or more years of experience following the last stage of training, including 2 or more years of experience in clinical and/or health services education or research (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry).

Experience in infectious diseases, epidemiology, vaccines and public health and/ or relevant therapeutic area is highly desirable.


Travel requirements: flexibility to travel 40-60% of time (domestic, regionally and globally)
Temporary contract, 12 months CDD. Evolution to a CDI contract is possible.
